Lovely Lariats'

Lariats have  been worn by the 'high fashion elite' since the 1920's. Women wore long fitted or flapper style dresses and tiara's to show off a style marked by time. The long dangling Lariats' accented this style by adding a layer of elegance to the women's attire. To dress 'to the nines' was the norm and having a party was a good excuse to be fashionably 'over the top'. A long tip filtered cigarette and a glass of champagne set the stage for the extravagance that made this era unforgettable.
Lariat's sparked my attention once i started finding my own style of dressing, prompted by the usual stealing clothes and jewelry from my mothers' closet. Since i already had been making jewelry from a young age, i was really interested in the beaded look to add layers of light and color to any outfit.
I have an entire collection of flowy handmade Lariats', many of which are shown on my website, made from a wide variety of colors, beads and stones. I typically focus on beads that range in size, shape and texture, making each Lariat a unique piece of 'wearable art'. Every woman needs to have at least one of these pieces to their wardrobe, as it can be worn to dress up a t-shirt or make a 'high fashion' statement with that little black dress.
'Up-cycling' is another idea to use those vintage beads passed down by a relative. I have many clients' that have given me their precious heirloom beads to create something more 'fashion forward' combining new beads with the vintage. This way they can still enjoy wearing their keepsakes with a fresh new look.
In closing Lariats' are a 'must have' for your wardrobe. Besides being adorned in this layered cascade of beads, there are many versatile ways of wearing this rope of beads. Please take time to look at my collection and subscribe to our mailing for updates on new Lariats' being added to the collection!
